History

Reekie Designs Limited is created as a limited company on the 6th of September 2006. The company is initially formed to enable the design, development, manufacture and sale of a novel sailing product to the UK dinghy sailing market. The product, Lazyhook is a self orientating trapeze hook allowing wire to wire manoeuvres in small dinghies fitted with a trapeze.

Founders

The Company is formed by John Reekie and Deborah Hayman-Start. John Reekie is a Mechanical Engineer and Managing Director of the company. Deborah Hayman-Start is a Material Scientist and Company Secretary.

Company Aims

• To design and develop the companies own products through manufacture and sale directly or indirectly to the public.
• Offer design services and product development/management for client's product idea, managing both the product development and manufacturing.
• Provide limited fabrication and manufacturing in house to enable rapid client product development and bespoke fabrications for general public or industry.
