Internet Orders, November 2009

Due to staff holidays we are unable to process internet orders for Lazyhooks or sailing hardware within the Reekie Designs Limited Website. Service will resume on the 1st of March 2010. All Utterly Gutterly cleaning operations are unaffected at www.utterlygutterly.org.

We are having a rope sale with all ropes at 20% off RRP. We currently stock Marlow and Holt ropes.

New Lazyhook Model, September 2009

Having been reviewing our sailor Lazyhook pimps we have came up with a more robust tying arrangement. This has seen the addition of a eye bolt and a new method of tying. Full details of this can be seen on the Lazyhook Pimps section. To this end the original bobble method of tying has been removed from the site. This alteration has been added to the webshop.   

Utterly Gutterly Launched, July 2009

Reekie Designs has been developing equipment for gutter cleaning from ground level. On the back of this development work we have launched a window, fascia, conservatory and gutter cleaning service under the trademark, "Utterly Gutterly". 4th February 2008, New Retailers

Late in 2007 we joined forces Ovington Boats and Annapolis Performance Sailing to bring the Lazyhook to a larger market. Annapolis Performance Sailing are a American web and shop based chandlers that should make buying the Lazyhook easier for our American customers, www.apsltd.com. Ovington with their recent move to directly market and sell the Musto Skiff are making the Lazyhook available as an option to those buying new boats or spares through their on line shop, www.ovingtonboats.co.uk.   

30th August 2007, Lazyhook Price Reduction

We have been working hard over the last few months to refine our production method and streamline our supply chain. This has allowed us to make cost savings whilst still manufacturing the Lazyhook to the same high standards using marine grade stainless steel. Therefore we are proud to offer the Lazyhook at the reduced price of £17 for the Lazyhook with block. The Lazyhook can be purchased through our on line shop.  

18th July 2007, Musto Skiff Worlds Success & Neat Boat Modifications

The Lazyhook saw some great success at the recently held Musto Skiff World Championships in Lake Garda. In the hands of a canny Spaniard, Pablo Arandia secured 8th place overall and has found the hook a success story for his sailing. You can read what he had to say in the Lazyhook Review section. The Lazyhook was used upon 5 boats in total at the championship with sailors at all levels. Pablo showed us a neat modification in the use of the Lazyhook which will be added to the site in the coming weeks when we add a dedicated modification page. The modification involves making the trapeze adjuster a single purchase and connecting the adjustment rope directly to the Lazyhook.  

 1st June 2007, Retail Partners Sought

The Lazyhook has seen some strong sales internationally in 7 countries to date. However we are looking to expand further afield than Europe and in particular those countries without a strong use of English as a second language among the general population. We are currently looking for partners to take on the retail and promotion of the Lazyhook in countries outside the UK. So if you think you have a suitable vehicle to retail the product in your home country feel free to get in touch.
